The discussion questions and case studies are thorough and thought provoking for the student or for the professional who wants to improve understanding of the industry.
Agribusiness Management has great examples, discussion questions and case studies. This new edition is broken into six parts: Part I looks at the scope, functions and tasks of agribusiness management with current numbers and examples. Part II addresses business organization and international agriculture. Part III involves a detailed discussion on marketing management - a section that could greatly benefit countless professionals. Part IV is financial management for agribusiness. Part V examines operations and logistics. Part VI is human resource management for agribusiness.
The authors provide a fresh look at the food and agribusiness industries as they are today with solid fundamentals for the professional facing these challenges in the future. Even in the preface, the authors point out that this book was written for students, for managers and for instructors. It is obvious they had these goals in mind when developing the text.
Despite the stoic looking cover, Agribusiness Management is fresh, current and inspiring. I have read it from cover to cover and regularly use it or refer to it in my work.
